What it costs

Almost everybody in this business makes you get on a call before they’ll say a number. I think that’s a waste of your afternoon. It’s one number for one day, and here it is.

A day on site

$3,500

One day · your whole team · anywhere in the Houston area

Everything is in that number: the call beforehand, my prep, the day itself, and your handoff pack afterwards. There is no second tier and nothing held back for an upsell.

Founding rate: $1,000 for the day, for my first three clients. In exchange I want honest feedback, a testimonial I can use, and two introductions if you think I earned them. That’s the whole trade and I’ll put it in writing. When those three are done it goes to $3,500, and I’ll tell you on the call which one you’d be.

Paid in thirds

So you’re never paying ahead for something you haven’t seen yet.

  • A third to hold the date. Refundable up to 7 days out. After that it holds your spot, because I’ve turned down the day.
  • A third the morning of, before we start work.
  • A third when your handoff pack and recording land, within 48 hours of the day. If I don’t send them, I don’t get paid the last third.

Travel

  • Within 60 miles of League City: included. That covers basically all of the Houston metro, Galveston County, and most of Harris and Brazoria.
  • 60 to 150 miles: $250. Beaumont, College Station, Victoria.
  • Over 150 miles: $500 plus lodging at cost if it needs an overnight, agreed in writing first.
  • Anywhere else: we do it over video. Dallas and Austin work fine that way.

Terms

  • Cards accepted
  • You get a real invoice, not a text asking for money
  • The scope goes in an email before you pay anything, and that email is the agreement

What’s not included

Saying this plainly because surprises on an invoice are how people stop trusting you. The full list is here, but the ones that matter most:

  • Your software subscription. You buy your own, in your name, and you own it. I never hold your login and I make nothing on it. More on why in the data page.
  • Custom software development. I set up and configure tools that exist. I’m not building you an app.
  • Connecting your CRM, field software, or accounting. Different job, needs a different person.
  • Logo design or font licensing. I organise the brand you already own. Building you a new one is a designer’s job.
  • Fixing your IT. If your Google Workspace is a mess or your files are scattered across three systems, I’ll tell you, but sorting that out is a different job.

What people ask

That seems like a lot for one day.

It’s a fair reaction, so here’s the honest arithmetic. It isn’t one day of my time. It’s a call beforehand, two or three hours of prep building your workflows on my own machine so I’m not solving anything for the first time in front of you, the day itself, and the handoff pack afterwards. Call it three days.

On your side: if writing quotes eats an hour a day and that becomes fifteen minutes, you’ve got about forty-five minutes a day back. Work out what your time is worth and the payback period is usually a month or two. If you don’t believe that will happen in your business, don’t buy it, and I’d rather say that than talk you into it.

Why not just charge hourly?

Because then you’re watching the clock instead of asking questions, and the questions are where the value is. A flat number means you can take as long as you need on the thing you don’t understand, and it means I can’t pad it.

Can I learn this myself for free?

Yes, genuinely. The tools are inexpensive and there’s a lot of free material. If you’ve got the time and the inclination, do that instead and I mean it.

What you’re buying is somebody who’s already made the mistakes, knows which of it matters for a business like yours, and gets your team over the line in a day instead of you nibbling at it for six months and quietly giving up. That’s the whole offer. If you’ve got the time, keep your money.

Can you do it cheaper?

The founding rate above is the discount, and it’s a real trade rather than a haggle. Past that, no, and I’d rather tell you why than pretend.

A price that moves when you push on it wasn’t a real price to begin with, and if I discount for you I’ve just told you I was overcharging the last person. What I will do is be honest on the call about whether you should be spending this at all.

What if it doesn’t work for us?

Everything we build is in your account, not mine. If you never speak to me again after the day, you still have all five workflows, your workspace, the recording and the cheat sheets. There’s nothing to cancel and nothing of yours that I hold.

The bigger protection is the call. If I don’t think this fits your business, I’ll say so before you’ve paid me anything.

Fifteen minutes, no pitch deck

You already know the number, so the call is just about whether it fits. If it doesn’t, I’ll tell you and we’ll both get back to work.
