About
I’m not a consultant. I run a business that gets dirty.
My name’s Javan Kizzee. I co-own H&L Junk Removal & Hauling out of League City, and I got into this because I was drowning, not because I took a course.
The actual story
I do the sales and marketing side of H&L. In practice that meant I was the guy answering every message that came in, writing every quote, and chasing every follow-up that went quiet. Nights, weekends, in the truck between jobs.
The work itself was never the problem. Hauling is hauling. The problem was the two hours a day of typing the same things over and over, and the jobs we lost because I took a day and a half to send a quote that somebody else sent in twenty minutes.
So I started building. Not because I’m technical, but because I was tired. I connected AI to my own inbox and calendar, taught it how we price, fed it our real past quotes so it wrote like us instead of like a robot, and built a handful of things that took the worst parts of my week off my plate.
It worked. Quote turnaround went from about twenty minutes of typing to about four minutes of reviewing. Follow-ups stopped falling through the cracks, because they got drafted whether I remembered or not.
Then I did the same thing for Jennifer Kizzee Design, an interior design firm I handle brand and marketing for. Completely different business, completely different customers, and it worked there too. That’s when I figured this probably wasn’t just a me thing.
Why I think this matters
Every person selling AI help to small businesses right now learned it from a course, a certification, or a job at a company that’s nothing like yours. They’ll walk into your shop and say the words “digital transformation” at you.
I learned it because I was losing quotes. That’s a different kind of knowing, and I think it shows up in what I build.
It also means I know what actually kills this stuff in a small business. It’s never the technology. It’s that you’re busy, your people are busy, somebody sets something up, everyone’s excited for a week, and then a truck breaks down and nobody touches it again. That’s why I don’t sell a day and disappear.
What I’ll do on our first call: open my own H&L inbox and show you exactly what I do before I quote a job. The real thing, with real timings. It’s more convincing than anything I could write here, and it takes about four minutes.
Things I’m not going to pretend about
- I don’t have twenty years of consulting behind me. I have a business that works and a system I built for it. If you want a firm with a case study binder, that exists and it costs more.
- I’m early. I’m taking my first few clients at a reduced rate specifically because I want the feedback and the testimonials. You’d be getting a better price and I’d be getting a track record. That’s the trade and I’ll say it plainly.
- This isn’t magic. It won’t run your company. It takes admin work off your plate and it does it well, and anybody promising more than that is selling you something.
- Some businesses shouldn’t bother yet. If you’re one person with fifteen emails a week, save your money. I’ll tell you that on the call rather than take it.
Where I work
In person: League City, Clear Lake, Friendswood, Webster, Dickinson, Texas City, Pearland, Galveston, and out into Houston proper. Roughly sixty miles, which covers most of the metro and Galveston County. Travel’s included in that radius.
Farther out in Texas, I’ll come for a travel fee. Anywhere else, we do it over video and it works fine.
Also, and this feels worth saying: I still run H&L. This isn’t a business I made up to sell you something. If you call me and I sound like I’m in a truck, it’s because I am.
Let’s talk for fifteen minutes
I’ll ask about your week. You can ask me anything. If I don’t think I can help you, I’ll tell you on the call and we’ll both get back to work.
